Alumni Program

The STARS Alumni Program’s goal is to continue patient research advocate education and networking opportunities for all previous STARS participants.

No formal application process is required. Successful completion of any STARS program will automatically enroll you into the Alumni program the following year.

The Alumni Program offers virtual educational sessions on diverse topics in lung cancer.  Past educational sessions have included pharmaceutical company representatives explaining their drug discovery process, an overview of the drug development process, and a selection of patient advocate research presentations from the World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC).  The program also includes quarterly virtual networking meetings and participation in STARS webinars.  A new feature of the program includes the opportunity to apply for travel scholarships to select IASLC events such as the Targeted Therapies of Lung Cancer Meeting held annually in February.
